GDTF fixture profiles — search GDTF-Share from the patch
When a fixture in your file has no profile, search the public GDTF-Share library by manufacturer or model straight from the fixture panel, pick the mode you patched on the desk, and the profile is added to the scene. The channel layout that arrives is the same one the console is using, so intensity, colour and pan/tilt land on the channels you expect.

WHAT IT DOES
- SEARCH BY NAME
- Manufacturer and model lookup against the public GDTF-Share index, filtered to profiles that actually carry DMX modes.
- MODE PICKER
- Choose the DMX mode you patched — a 16-channel and a 32-channel mode are different fixtures as far as the patch is concerned.
- CACHED LOCALLY
- Downloaded profiles stay with the scene, so the file still opens on a network that cannot reach the internet.
- NO REDRAWING
- Adding a profile does not touch geometry or position — only what the fixture can do.
Depends on
Internet access at the moment you search. A GDTF-Share account is required to read the public library.

No automatic profile matching on import yet — unmatched fixtures are listed for you to resolve, not guessed at.
