The editor, in one look
Everything lives in one window: a menu row, a toolbar, a viewport, and two sidebars.
Left to right, the toolbar carries:
Tools — Select, Move, Rotate, Pan. Scale and Orbit are drawn but not implemented yet; the app tells you so if you click them. Point2Focus (the target icon) becomes available once you have fixtures selected.
Undo / Redo.
The problem counter —
8 errors, 160 warnings. Click it to open the Problems panel. The two sidebar toggles — patch sidebar on the left, library sidebar on the right.
Live / Plan — the switch that decides what the rest of the bar means. Plan is the flat working view; Live is the stage. There is no hand-off between them and nothing to commit: you flip the switch and keep working. Some controls are Plan-only and simply disappear in Live.
Shaded / Wireframe / Rendered — how the Live view is drawn.
Grid — shows or hides the grid. It does not turn snapping off.
Mark version, the console status, the GDTF Share status, and the fixture count.
- wheel zoom
- middle-drag pan
- Alt-drag orbit
- F frame the selection
- Shift+F frame everything
The same controls are in the bottom-right corner of the viewport, for when you would rather click than remember:
The gizmo. Drag a handle to turn the camera; click one to jump straight to that viewpoint. The current angles are written underneath.
The zoom column, with the distance at its foot.
Frame and Fullscreen, above it.
Views — the pool of saved viewpoints. Save the angle you keep coming back to and recall it in one click.
