Work together

Who can reach a project

Everyone in your organisation reaches every project in it. A project's Team tab narrows or widens that for one project, and lets somebody from outside in as a guest.

Open a scene of the project, then File › Project settings… › Team (administrators only).

Organisation members, an override and a guest

The list shows three kinds of access, and they behave differently:

from organisation
A member of your organisation with no row of their own. They reach the project through the organisation, at their organisation role
Override
A member of your organisation whose role on this project differs: a viewer here, or an editor here
Guest
Somebody outside your organisation. This row is their entire access, and they see the project under Shared with you

Set access adds a row: an email address, editor or viewer, and optionally a craft. It needs an existing FlexViz account.

Removing

  • Removing an override is not removing the person. They keep access through the organisation, at its role. The confirmation says so.

  • Removing a guest ends their access outright.

  • Somebody in the organisation cannot be removed from a single project: that is an organisation membership. Narrow them with a viewer override instead, or remove them from the organisation (Inviting colleagues).

"Editor", but view only

Somebody listed as editor with view only — no collab seat beside them cannot edit. Either they are a guest, or a member without a seat. The role on the project only matters once there is a seat; see Collab seats and roles.

Clients are not on this list

To show somebody from outside a scene, share it with them from the editor: Share a scene with a client. To have them work on it, invite them to the organisation.
