The demo project
Every new organisation starts with a rig to try things on. It is yours to open, fly, patch and break.
When you sign up, your organisation gets a project called Demoproject with a scene called Demoscene: 48 fixtures on truss over a stage, patched, arranged in layers and named positions. Nothing in it is special. It behaves like any scene you built yourself, and everything in this documentation can be tried on it.
What is in it
Six fixture types: Robe Robin 300E Spot (two modes), Robin 300 LEDWash, Robin MiniPointe, Clay Paky Sharpy and ADJ Encore Profile 1000 WW. They ship with the library, so you can patch them into your own scenes too.
Truss, a stage and set pieces on their own layers, and six named positions.
The rig starts lit: the washes, spots and MiniPointes have their shutters open, so the Live view shows light from the first moment.
The first time you open it
FlexViz asks which body to draw for the ADJ Encore Profile: its profile has no 3D model, so you choose a stand-in for it. Remember this choice decides whether the answer holds for these fixtures, this project or all your projects. This is the same question any fixture without a usable model asks; see Fixture bodies.
It is your own copy
The demo belongs to your organisation. Editing it changes nothing for anybody else, and nobody else's edits reach yours. Everyone in your organisation shares this one copy, the same as any other project.
Getting a fresh one
There is no "reset demo" button, on purpose: a control that only ever appears in one scene is in the way in every other one.
To start over, delete the project in the Explorer. With the next FlexViz release, your organisation gets a fresh copy of the original. Delete it only when you are done with it: anything you built inside Demoproject goes with it.
Organisations that existed before the demo shipped receive one with the next release, in the same way.
